PIXI Skintreats – Glow Tonic Line
I’ve been using these for a couple of months now because I love the original Glow Tonic, so I wanted to test this line really well before posting about it.
I have dry skin and I try to exfoliate often enough to keep dry patches away, but not so often that I dry out my skin even more.
It’s honestly a fine line to walk, and I feel that this will vary from person to person.
?However, I found a happy balance between the two extremes with these 3.
- The Glow Tonic Cleanser is clear and has a gel type consistency, it doesn’t strip my skin and has no beads or bits in it – it exfoliates without being abrasive.
- The Glow Tonic itself is a toner most of us already know and love – it’s what got my into Pixi to begin with. With regular use it gives my face a subtle glow and my skin looks brighter overall, without drying it out.
- The Glow Tonic Serum is surprisingly hydrating. A couple of drops will slip and cover my entire face. It’s described as an Exfoliating Radiance serum and I agree with that. I wouldn’t recommend this for use under makeup, because it’s somewhat tacky, however I love using it at home followed by a day cream.
Overall, if I could only choose one it’d be the tonic, however I really have seen an improvement in using all 3 over time and I don’t have to use scrubs or peels as often as before.
