Natasha Denona “I need a nude” Lipstick in “22P Jennifer” (swatch below)
Beautiful newness: As soon as I found out this was out, I knew I had to buy one!
I ordered during the last day of the Sephora sale, so I was able to get 15% off (this is a pricy lipstick at $25) – As soon as you feel it in your hands, you can see why: this looks & feels like a truly luxe lipstick. The design is super sleek, heavy and well made. It has beautiful clean lines and a modern feel.
I gravitate toward pinky/mauve, midtone nudes. Nudes that are too light or brown in tone tend to wash me out. This one is a little less pink than I had expected, however it still looks very beautiful on.
- The finish is Satin. The consistency is creamy enough to glide nicely, but still has a certain firmness to it and isn’t overly creamy like a balm might be.
- I find it to be buildable in colour but not 100% opaque – Which is something I personally love in a nude, to give it a more natural feel.
Overall: I’m very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to adding more shades to my collection, however I will wait for a sale. I wouldn’t say this is a necessity, however, it’s one of those little luxuries that makes makeup routine more enjoyable.
