REVLON Super Lustrous Glass Shine lipstick review

This lipstick is so comfortable!
It pretty much feels like a mega hydrating lip balm.

Here is a macro swatch of the shade I have, “Glazed Mauve”:

  • The formula is sheer but somewhat buildable.
  • The texture is very soft and moisturizing. It has tiny micro sparkles in it, which are not very evident unless you zoom in really close (Like my swatch. Enjoy my magnified skin 😂)
  • This is the perfect comfort lipstick to throw in your bag when you go anywhere. You don’t need to be precise or use a lip liner, and it gives a flattering wash of colour.
  • Best of all it’s only $6.99!

Something to watch out for with this lipstick is that the product will become very soft and melt in the tube as you use it. Here is how mine looked after just one use:

This Natasha Denona I need a Nude lipstick in shade “Amorosa” is a beautiful nude tone.

The lipstick design is different from the usual white tube, as this is a special edition lipstick.

  • It applies easily and smoothly, without being overly creamy.
  • It’s a pink enough tone for those of us who feel that most nude lipsticks are too brown for our taste.
  • For me, it’s difficult to wear many light coloured lipsticks because I feel that they wash out my face – Having very light skin and lips that are naturally darker, I immediately feel like a ghost. However, this lipstick has just the right balance of depth and pinkiness to actually work for me!
  • I do have to use a lip liner with it, only because my lip edges aren’t naturally defined enough.
  • I find it very comfortable to wear, and the packaging is so cute!

The only drawback would be the $25 pricetag, however if you are interested in the entire mini collection, I recommend you get the $80 discount bundle from ND’s website like I did.

I had seen these lipsticks floating around social media for a good while, but with them being on the pricier side of things, I never pulled the trigger and got one to try.

However, during their Black Friday sale, the price came down to only $10 (normally $40), and I knew that was my chance! This was one of the few shades they had left (I was late to the party) but I’m glad I got it!

Here are my thoughts:

  • It’s a pretty warm pinky light-tone nude kind of shade. I do feel like it’s slightly lighter than I normally like – but using a slightly darker lip liner first fixes that issue.
  • It’s very pigmented.
  • It has a comfortable satin finish.
  • The shape of the bullet tip makes it very easy to control exactly where I’m applying it and follow the shape I want.
  • The only negative I can list is that if your lips are dry and/or chapped, this will definitely emphasize it. So I recommend you use a lip scrub 😊

Overall, I think this is a beautiful lipstick, which also feels luxurious – However I can’t justify the regular retail price, so I will only purchase more shades when there is a good sale.

  • These lip glosses smell sweet and delicious.
  • They are sparkly but not ridiculously so – once you put them on, they mostly look shimmery on the lips. You can dress these up or down – Alone for a more natural look or over your lipstick to give it a beautiful shimmery glow.
  • The colours are very wearable. At first I thought “Sorbet” was too blue to be a lip gloss for my taste, however after applying on the lips, I can say it looks more like a soft lavender and pink shimmer.
  • These are infused with rose hip & marula oil, and they feel super hydrating and comfortable on the lips!
  • I literally have no negatives to say about these Lip Icings ?

Do you prefer matte or shiny lips in the cold season? For me it’s moist shiny lips all winter.

I’ve been loving CHARLOTTE TILBURY “Matte Revolution” lipsticks lately. I’ve been so busy, and I find this formula to be a very easy and wearable, comfortable, and natural looking lipstick to just throw on regardless of how much or how little I’m done up that day. I really love the ease with which it applies and how creamy it feels for being a matte.

This is my first lipstick purchase from Flower Beauty!

At $7.99, it’s quite affordable (and even better if you grab it on sale).

This shade is a very pretty pinky nude in a matte finish. It’s definitely a little more of a spiced looking pink shade in person than it looked online.

  • It’s a comfortable kind of matte, which also means it will rub off more easily.
  • The lipstick I got keeps coming loose from the tube, and I have to be careful when applying so the whole thing won’t break off.
  • As time goes by it seems to get more dry and might be more draggy during application than it previoysly was.

✔️Overall: I think this is a nice affordable lipstick in a really pretty colour and is worth trying out, however, the tube/mechanism needs improvement, and the formula could also be improved.

Beautiful newness: As soon as I found out this was out, I knew I had to buy one!

I ordered during the last day of the Sephora sale, so I was able to get 15% off (this is a pricy lipstick at $25) –  As soon as you feel it in your hands, you can see why: this looks & feels like a truly luxe lipstick. The design is super sleek, heavy and well made. It has beautiful clean lines and a modern feel.

I gravitate toward pinky/mauve, midtone nudes. Nudes that are too light or brown in tone tend to wash me out. This one is a little less pink than I had expected, however it still looks very beautiful on.

  • The finish is Satin. The consistency is creamy enough to glide nicely, but still has a certain firmness to it and isn’t overly creamy like a balm might be.
  • I find it to be buildable in colour but not 100% opaque – Which is something I personally love in a nude, to give it a more natural feel.

Overall: I’m very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to adding more shades to my collection, however I will wait for a sale. I wouldn’t say this is a necessity, however, it’s one of those little luxuries that makes makeup routine more enjoyable.

This is from the Colourpop Cosmetics spring collection, but I waited for a sale to get it.

It’s a beautiful warm nude shade, it reminds me a little of their Ariel lipstick but this one is a bit pinker.

?As always this formula is nicely pigmented and comfortable on the lips, and I love their signature star design on the actual lipstick.
At $7.50 and considering you can get it with a discount often, I think this is a no-brainer and easily competes with higher end brands.

I had a super busy last week with family from out of town visiting. Did you do anything exciting last weekend? (Such as participating in the CP 40% off shadow sale? ?)

This beauty is a cream finish lipstick from the Sephora Collection Lipstories.
The name of this shade is “03 Oui!”, and I’m terrible at describing colours ? but to me it’s like a blushing nudey and slightly mauvey type of colour.
I got really interested in this lipstick after seeing how beautiful it looked on @kimkroft and at only $8, I decided to get it myself.
Honestly, I never used to buy Sephora lipsticks cause I didn’t know they’d be any good… But this one has climbed to the top of my all time faves instantly!

  • It feels very creamy and rich when I apply it, goes on smoothly and pigmented, lasts pretty long on me if I’m not eating.

❓Have you ever tried any of these lipsticks? What’s your opinion of the Sephora brand?
For me it’s hit or miss depending on the product!

I had never before used Becca Cosmetics lipsticks, but I’m definitely loving the 3 shades I purchased recently!

I signed up for Boxyluxe and my box had the Crimson lipstick in it. I didn’t swatch that one because I’m hoping to trade it, but after being disappointed that I got a red, I decided to simply purchase the shades I was most interested in.

I’m happy to report that all these shades are to my liking in person!

This lipstick is very pigmented, creamy enough (but not overly) and very comfortable to wear.

  • The entire range is divided in Warm, Cool and Neutral so you can choose a perfect shade depending on your skintone.
  • Most of the shades are natural looking pinks, nudes, and there’s a few reds too.
