I was really hoping to get this one in my Boxycharm and fortunately I did!
Although I wish it had one more shimmer, I can appreciate the beauty of these mattes and how well they go with the one shimmer that’s included.
I feel like these shades perform just like the other ND palettes I have. The mattes blend very nicely and are vibrant, and the shimmer is very eye catching and sticks well to my eye.

I haven’t been very excited about many makeup releases this year, but when I saw this one I was hyped!

While I’m not an obsessive Star Wars fan like my husband is, I do like it, and I enjoy their spinoff Disney plus show The Mandalorian. And we all know that “the child”, otherwise known as “baby Yoda”, is the star of that show with its cuteness!

Fortunately, the colours chosen for this palette not only represent the theme well, but also are wearable and pretty. I can only imagine how beautiful it must look on green / hazel eyes!

I know it’s not Tuesday but I wanted to show you the beautiful creamy texture of this blush.

I bought the shades Petal Poppin’ and Strawberry Drip.

This has been my favourite blush this summer, especially the Petal Poppin’ shade.

  • These compacts are smaller than most blushes. It’s something many people have complained about, but realisticly I think if they were bigger the product would expire before I got around to finishing it, so it does not bother me.
  • The creamy texture is easy to pick up with my finger or with a dense cheek brush. I also like to use a stippling brush.
  • It’s not highly pigmented, which means you can apply it in a hurry without needing to be too precise. I personally like this because it means I don’t have to worry about accidentally applying too much. However, this also means if you have a dark skin tone or simply like highly pigmented blushes, you may not enjoy this.

This is my latest addition from this brand, and I like it much better than the other two palettes I previously bought (subliminal platinum & sublime bronze). Scroll all the way down for texture shots!

  • There are four metallic shimmers and one matte with glitter.
  • I hate mattes with glitter, but I’m able to use it as a matte if I tap my brush off (all the glitter comes off that way)
  • The shimmers are pigmented and beautiful, not to mention wearable colours.
  • The reddish brown (swatched at the top) shifts from brown to a dark pink and is super fun!
  • The green shade is my favourite in this palette and makes my brown eyes look slightly hazel when applied as the main colour on my eyes.
  • The shimmer formula feels smooth, buttery and pigmented.

Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions palette in “Light”

I’ve had this palette since November and I still love it just as much as when I bought it!

  • I find it has the same great formula and pigmentation as Huda’s other obsessions mini palettes.
  • Buttery and easy to work with shimmers and mattes that blend beautifully and don’t look muddy on my fair skin.
  • I love the colour selection of the mattes (great for browbone highlighting, crease transition and depth shades)
  • It retails for $29, but can be found cheaper during Sephora or HudaBeauty.com sales.

I’ve been very overwhelmed by life the past several weeks, and have found it difficult to find the energy and motivation to post about beauty. Just being real with you guys!
I’m sure many feel this same way.
However, sometimes the little things can really make your day brighter.
✔️For instance, the Cover FX monochromatic blush duos.
I got this shade from Ulta’s 50% off sale and, although I’m not ready to post a review, I can say its beauty and intricacy has really brought a smile to my face. I also have it in the shade “Mojave Mauve”, which my dear friend Kim gifted me. Both colours are beautiful. I love how you get the option to use the matte or the shimmery blush depending on your mood. I will certainly add more shades to my collection if it ever goes on sale again.

I am no stranger to Lorac, as it was, in fact, one of my most favourite brands for the first couple of years of my beauty addiction. However, at this point in my collection, I no longer seek to buy every product they make anymore, and quite honestly I was not even aware of this specific creme eyeshadow formula they make.

But then, I got this as a free Diamond tier member gift from Ulta last summer, and I was really excited to rediscover their products.

Here are my thoughts:

  • The colour is described as Platinum, but in my opinion can look different depending on the light, ranging from pale light gold to slightly khaki.
  • It’s solid but creamy to the touch.
  • It’s super sparkly and beautiful.
  • I find it easiest to apply with my finger.
  • Sadly, this formula doesn’t stay put for me and migrates around my hooded eyes, ending with sparkles in the whole area.

In conclusion, as much as I like the shade and formula, I don’t really wear it because of the sparkle migration.

I had seen these lipsticks floating around social media for a good while, but with them being on the pricier side of things, I never pulled the trigger and got one to try.

However, during their Black Friday sale, the price came down to only $10 (normally $40), and I knew that was my chance! This was one of the few shades they had left (I was late to the party) but I’m glad I got it!

Here are my thoughts:

  • It’s a pretty warm pinky light-tone nude kind of shade. I do feel like it’s slightly lighter than I normally like – but using a slightly darker lip liner first fixes that issue.
  • It’s very pigmented.
  • It has a comfortable satin finish.
  • The shape of the bullet tip makes it very easy to control exactly where I’m applying it and follow the shape I want.
  • The only negative I can list is that if your lips are dry and/or chapped, this will definitely emphasize it. So I recommend you use a lip scrub 😊

Overall, I think this is a beautiful lipstick, which also feels luxurious – However I can’t justify the regular retail price, so I will only purchase more shades when there is a good sale.

This was my first purchase from Jouer and I was not disappointed.

It contains 6 pressed blushes in a variety of shimmer and matte finishes.
It is Vegan & Cruelty Free (also free of that long list of bad ingredients you should avoid)

Here are my thoughts:

  • I really like how finely milled and effortless these blushes are. They’re so easy to apply and practically blend themselves.
  • They’re pretty pigmented and a little goes a long way. Because of this, I would recommend tapping your brush lightly into the pan to pick up the product, without overloading your brush.
  • I bought mine in August and haven’t made any kind of dent yet. This may last you forever 😂

This palette retails for $42, however I purchased from DermStore during a sale.
I also really love how light, airy and romantic dreamy the packaging is.

Overall I think this is a great addition to anyone looking to expand their blush colour range.

From the moment I saw this palette with all its beautiful pearly shades, I knew I needed it in my life. Just look at this beautiful pan texture:

I had a $15 off coupon so it was perfect timing!

Unfortunately, my excitement turned into disappointment after just one use… Here are my thoughts:

  • The palette case is beautiful and sturdy and comes with a nice mirror.
  • The colour range is right up my alley and some of these shades have a very pretty shift.
  • However, the pigmentation is pretty terrible in comparison to most palettes out there today.
  • The texture is quite dry and crumbly.

ℹ️For my swatches I had to use a primer because they were swatching terribly on bare skin. I had to work a lot to get them to show well and go over it multiple times.
Overall: If you’re looking for pretty, shifty eyeshadow toppers, this is a great palette for that. However, at $46, I don’t think it’s worth it for eye toppers.
If you’re wanting a pigmented, buttery shimmers palette, this isn’t it.
