Honest Beauty Creme Cheek Blush in “Peony Pink”

This was my first ever purchase from the Honest Beauty brand. I always liked the concept that they are a simple, affordable, clean beauty brand, but never had gotten around to trying their products.

I am normally not a fan of cream blushes because I find them harder to apply than powders. However, after having this one for a few months I think I’m a convert!

Here are my thoughts:

  • It applies easily with either your fingers or a blush brush that’s not too flimsy (I like to use it with an Elf stippling brush).
  • If applied gently it doesn’t disturb my foundation.
  • It looks way more natural and lit-from-within than powders ever have for me.
  • I have dry skin and it doesn’t emphasize any texture.
  • The shade “Peony Pink” works beautifully with my fair skintone, but I know it works for tan skintones as well.
  • AND it’s affordable! (I paid $8 for it, retails for $12.99)

How cute is the packaging for these Colourpop Lippie Stix and Ultra Satin lip?

This was my first time buying something from Colourpop. I am putting together a care package full of makeup for a friend of mine who lost her entire home and makeup collection in the California fires, and I thought it would be nice to throw these in. (So I can’t swatch them since they’re getting gifted) but I’m curious what they look like. I did buy myself their Belle Disney set which I’ll be posting in the future. It seems I’ve been overlooking a brand that has great, cute, affordable makeup. I can see why so many people like their products now.

What about you? Do you like Colourpop products? Have you used these lippies in the photo, and are they good? I hope my friend will like them.

Rodan + Fields Lash Boost Review

I’ve always wanted longer, prettier lashes, since I was a kid. In the past few years I researched about lash serums, but I didn’t want to spend the money without being sure it would work. Eventually I saw other people rave about how long their lashes grew after using the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost, and I finally decided it was time to buy my own and see for myself.

As it turned out, someone I already knew had a brand representative in their household! (You can’t buy this brand in stores so you have to order through a rep).
The lovely @thesouthernblondifestyle over at Instagram placed an order for me very easily and a few days later it showed up at my house. I was nervous about using it at first, but it’s very easy:

  • You wipe excess off the little brush, use it on your lash line like you’re applying liquid eyeliner, and it will dry after like 2 minutes.
  • Put on the rest of your skincare avoiding the eyelash area of the lid, and go to bed!

My results have been so amazing to me I can’t believe these are my real lashes. I wish I had bought it sooner! I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be without it after this. I’m hooked!
