Fenty Beauty Lil’ Match Stix Duo in Starstruck / Sinamon (review, swatches)

After looking at these since they came out, I finally purchased this duo to try during a killer sale Fenty had last May. I paid $15 which I think is a fair price to try these sticks.

  • Sinamon is a cinnamon bronze bronzer stick, and although I originally thought it wouldn’t work on my very light skintone, it actually looks great once it’s blended.
  • The obvious shimmer dims down to more of a radiant bronze, and I haven’t noticed any sparkles or anything crazy. I wouldn’t use this in a “no makeup” kinda day, but I feel comfortable wearing it with a proper face of makeup, and looks great especially in summer.
  • Starstruck is an iced pearl highlight stick, and although I thought it would look really natural on me, it actually does show some sparkle once diffused on the cheekbones.
  • It does look somewhat “icier” than I expected, however I still think it’s wearable with a full face of makeup, and if applied carefully, I don’t look like a disco-ball.

✅ Overall, although I don’t use these all the time, they’re very quick to use and blend, and the cream-to-power formula is comfortable and stays put for me.
❓What is the absolute quickest bronzer you own that you can put on super quickly and leave the house without looking muddy? ⬇️I want to know, please, I’m always late getting ready 🙊😅

My Benefit Blush order from Belk

About a week ago Belk had a sale for 50% off all the Benefit full-size box blushes. I didn’t own any so I decided to take this opportunity to try them.

At $14.50 each, I purchased:

I was really surprised when it arrived and I saw the bag! I was expecting a little, kind of useless bag, but it’s actually a beautiful, cute, big bag with several slots for brushes or other products, and fits quite a bit of stuff. This will be excellent for travel!

Overall, I am super happy with my purchase. I got a great deal on these bestseller blushes and I am completely in love with my free Benefit bag!

As far as the blushes go, I had been wanting to try Hoola Lite for a very long time, because the regular Hoola that everyone raves about is too unnatural looking on my fair skin. I find this “Lite” version to be a little more orange than I’d prefer, however it builds slowly and blends very well on fair skin, which is what I was hoping for.

The Dandelion Twinkle is not super unique, there are other highlighters out there that look similar – However it is pretty much what I was expecting: an easy-going, buildable, not chunky or crazy glittery highlighter, which can be worn for every occasion and appears to be flattering on any skintone. It’s not a blinding highlight, but that’s something I like about it. However it’s not super natural either, it’s kind of a happy medium.

The Rockateur looks intimidating when you first open the box, because when it’s brand new and unused there’s this gold sparkly looking film on the blush, however, this “film” appears to be mostly for show when you first open it, and disappeared after 2 uses, giving way to a very pretty dusty rose blush with a little glow and no sparkles.

The Dallas blush is marketed as a multi-use face powder which you can use as a blush and bronzer. I was curious about this concept and I have to say that it works as advertised. I like to wear Dallas as a blush and a bronzer, and then I add another blush such as Rockateur on top on my cheeks, and it does give me a very different but nice bronzed look all over my face. However I don’t think I’d use Dallas only as a blush on its own, because it doesn’t have enough pink for my personal taste. But it looks great mixed!
