LORAC Cosmetics LUX Diamond Creme Eyeshadow in “Cashmere”

I am no stranger to Lorac, as it was, in fact, one of my most favourite brands for the first couple of years of my beauty addiction. However, at this point in my collection, I no longer seek to buy every product they make anymore, and quite honestly I was not even aware of this specific creme eyeshadow formula they make.

But then, I got this as a free Diamond tier member gift from Ulta last summer, and I was really excited to rediscover their products.

Here is a closeup so you can see that beautiful texture!

Here are my thoughts:

The colour is described as Platinum, but in my opinion can look different depending on the light, ranging from pale light gold to slightly khaki.
It’s solid but creamy to the touch.
It’s super sparkly and beautiful.
I find it easiest to apply with my finger.
Sadly, this formula doesn’t stay put for me and migrates around my hooded eyes, ending with sparkles in the whole area.

In conclusion, as much as I like the shade and formula, I don’t really wear it because of the sparkle migration.

JOUER Bouquet D’Amour blush palette

This was my first purchase from Jouer and I was not disappointed.

It contains 6 pressed blushes in a variety of shimmer and matte finishes.
It is Vegan & Cruelty Free (also free of that long list of bad ingredients you should avoid)

And here are my swatches: (keep in mind my skintone is fair neutral, so it might look differently on other skintones)

Here are my thoughts:

I really like how finely milled and effortless these blushes are. They’re so easy to apply and practically blend themselves.
They’re pretty pigmented and a little goes a long way. Because of this, I would recommend tapping your brush lightly into the pan to pick up the product, without overloading your brush.
I bought mine in August and haven’t made any kind of dent yet. This may last you forever 😂

This palette retails for $42, however I purchased from DermStore during a sale.
I also really love how light, airy and romantic dreamy the packaging is.

Overall I think this is a great addition to anyone looking to expand their blush colour range.

✔️For Texture Tuesday here’s a closeup look of this beautiful palette so you can get a good feel of the textures and colours of all the shadows in it.

I tried to show it as it looks in real life, unlike the overly saturated and unrealistic photos of it I’ve been seeing out there.

If you’re tired of seeing photos of Sultry, I promise these are my last ?
I personally really enjoy looking at detailed photos of the texture of a palette, it often helps me decide whether I want to buy it or not.

This palette is smooth and pigmented, and I would absolutely buy it again.

Today I’m reviewing Flower Beauty Flowerpots Powder Blush in Warm Hibiscus.

How cute is this blush?! I have been very curious about Drew Barrymore’s brand Flower Beauty for a while now, so when I saw a few of their products were on sale during Ulta’s Fall Haul sale, I had to jump in and try it.

This product is the Flowerpots Powder Blush in shade “Warm Hibiscus”. It is a luminous blush which depending how the light hits has a golden shift to it. It’s not super pigmented which I enjoy in a blush, because I prefer to build it up and have more control over the pigmentation that way. This blush gives me a very pretty, healthy flush of colour and luminosity which is great for days when I want to do my makeup quickly and get out of the door while still having a natural glow on my face, without the need for extra products.

FYI I have fair neutral skin, and haven’t tested this on other skintones.
I also purchased a highlighter palette from them which I’ll be reviewing at some point.

This is a very beautiful palette in person if you like warm tones. The shadows are very vibrant and feel smooth and pigmented. It only costs $27, which, in my opinion, is a good price point if you have never tried this brand and want to jump in the wagon without breaking the bank. They have many more small palettes like this one in different colour stories, which I think is genius ? so you can stick with colours you know you’ll like and use. I have brown eyes and I tend to gravitate towards these warm tones a lot, so I picked the Topaz?. I love the textures and pigments in this one. I wish I had more Huda Beauty makeup to photograph, it’s so pretty! ❤️

Here are some Too Faced Sugar Cookie palette closeups!

I worked really hard on this post so you can get a feel of the colours and texture ?
This is part of their Holiday 2018 collection. It has a sweet smell like the Gingerbread Spice palette (they smell the same to me). I mostly bought it for the absolute cuteness, however I do really love the colours too, and the fact that it’s so small and portable ? It retails for $26 but I paid $16 for mine (I purchased from HSN and used a $10 off coupon).
