Farsali – Jelly Beam highlighter in “Glowup”
I rarely post about disappointments, because I rather talk about products I do enjoy. However, I thought I’d post about this one in case it helps someone with similar taste to mine.
At first sight, this is a truly stunning highlighter. The jelly substance gives it a LOT of bang for each tiny drop, and is also super fun to play with.
The reason I don’t like this: it’s glittery. It applies beautifully, but it gives me a beam of microglitter all over my cheeks. It is very unnatural if you prefer a more believable highlight, like me.
You can see this better in the swatch I took in direct sunlight, but it’s still hard to see in photos.

I tried to use it as an eyeshadow (because I really wanted to make it work) but it’s not pigmented at all on the eyelid, and simply looked like a cast of tiny specks of glitter over my eye.
IN CONCLUSION: This is a beautiful product that will last you forever, and you will love it if you don’t mind microglitter.
If you don’t like shiny little flecks, I would recommend you pass. I decluttered this from my collection the other day (with a heavy heart ?)
